Overcoming the Spirit
The Erie Otters struck in overtime to beat the Sagninaw Spirit 4-1 in the first round of the OHL Playoffs. With a wrist shot by Michael Curtis. We face Sault Ste Marie in the second round. Let's go Otters!

Pound The Hounds!
In a sweep your Erie Otters defeated the Sault. Ste Marie Greyhounds with a shot from the fan favorite Joel Wigle. Joel, being known for his physical style of hockey was the hero of the night. We look forward to seeing who our next competitor will be. Jet's coverage below.

Birthdays
A very happy birthday to the following players born in April from all the Fan Club members.
There are no otters born in April surprisingly. Good luck in the playoffs boys!

Brownie Points!!!
On January 27, 2014 Erie's captain Connor Brown gained his 100th point for this season breaking the previous points in a single season record held by Cory Pecker at 99 points. He is the first ever Otters to break 100 points in a single season and still had 20 games remaining when he accomplished this feat. Connor Brown also holds the record for the most assists in a single season. A huge congratulations from the Erie Otters Fan Club to Connor Brown.

FOX WATCH!!!

Dane Fox has done the unthinkable! Fox scored his 54th goal on February 6, 2014 in Erie against Saginaw breaking the previous single season goal scoring record previously held by the former Otter Cory Pecker. The Otters acquired Dane in the 2011-2012 season with a trade from the London Knights and became one of the key players on the Otters offensive lines. Doing what no Otter has ever done with over 15 games in the season he looks hungry and ready to steadily increase his record. He has also had success with his signing with the NHL's Vancouver Canucks around Christmas. Dane was named overage player of the year for the 2013-2014 season. Keep them coming Fox!
